Summer is here and we all want to make the most of it, spending time with family and friends after months of separation. Fortunately, we've compiled a list of ideas to turn your upcoming weekends into hours of enjoyment and entertainment, suitable for both families and adults.


St Paul’s Open Gardens

Fancy a relaxed afternoon, exploring eight carefully cultivated gardens of East Molesey residents? Enjoy the scenic beauty of St Paul’s annual Open Gardens and tour the neighbourhood to behold elegant flower beds and alluring fish ponds that members of the congregation have worked year-round to keep in pristine condition – followed by a refreshing cream tea back at the church, of course!

Kingston Regatta

River Thames | 10-11 July

Grab a picnic, slap on the suntan lotion and find the perfect spot on the banks of the River Thames, or on Riverside Walk, to watch the wonderful Kingston Regatta, an event that’s been contested on our stretch of the river since 1857. A whopping 320 races will take place from 9am to 7pm each day.

Hampton Court Paddle Sports

West Molesey | Monday – Sunday, 7am – 8pm

Thames Ditton Miniature Steam Railway

Thames Ditton | 4 July & 1 August


Excitingly, after months of closure, the Malden District Society of Model Engineers are re-opening the Railway! Come and enjoy a day riding on miniature steam trains, whilst also enjoying quality coffee and cakes from a local trader and ice cream from a van.
