Focus on our Four-Legged Friends

Our four-legged furry friends have kept us company throughout lockdown and now’s the time to treat them for their love and loyalty.

For many of us, the past year has provided an opportunity to further bond with our canine chums. Dogs have remained our constant, a reason to get up and out and meet every new morning regardless of the daily news and gloom. They’re our very own unsung household heroes.

Here’s just a few of the ways you can thank them for their ongoing efforts and support local small businesses around the Court at the same time.

The Pet Club

Wonderful Ria runs The Pet Club in Bridge Road and one look at her website tells you all you need to know about how talented she is as a groomer and how much her clients (human and four legged) love her. She cares deeply about every pet she encounters in her salon and is always happy to talk through their aftercare post-pampering. Ria also stocks a small selection of beautiful dog and cat accessories and nibbles. Highly recommended!

Paws for Coffee

A trip to Paws for Coffee is a treat for humans and canines alike! Situated on the Hampton Hill side of Bushy Park, this café on the corner is the most dog friendly environment we’ve ever encountered. Serving delicious hot beverages, meals and cakes, Paws for Coffee also has an array of goodies for dogs including homemade biscuits, ‘puppacinos’ and chew toys. Owner Louise also runs a dog training school.

Molesey Pets and Aquatics Centre

This pet shop is a Walton Road institution and carries a vast selection of stock including food, beds, toys, leads and harnesses. Owner Paul is friendly, knowledgeable and has been a huge advocate for The Court Circular – so thank you Paul! Beyond the dog related items, there’s also everything you might need for the other pets in your life and if you don’t see what you’re looking for you can always ask if it can be ordered for you. We’d recommend you pop to this shop before picking up your pet purchases in the supermarket, as the service is personal, friendly and deserves our support. There’s also a large car park opposite the shop.

It’s the Dogs

Offering dog training, dog grooming and dog daycare, It’s the Dogs is a one-stop shop for your doggy needs! As well as providing opportunities for some serious pooch pampering, there’s also a menu of options to support dog wellbeing, including classes, behaviour consultations and a private meadow to exercise dogs that might be nervous around other people and pets, or simply learning recall. Check out their ‘Woofers Private Dog Club’.
